We'll be ascending from Swirls on the Thirlmere side of the mountain which is a straightforward climb without the exposure of Striding Edge. The long climb to the summit of the third highest mountain in the Lake District is rewarded with amazing views across the Lake District and beyond if we have a clear day. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a fun outdoor activity, this event is perfect for all skill levels.  Southwell Circular – this walk takes in sections of the Robin Hood Way long distance path. Starting on the outskirts of Southwell we head over open countryside to Epperstone where we’ll take a short break before heading accross farmland and forestry to Oxton and take our lunch before tackling Robin Hood Hill. We’ll then follow the Robin Hood Way back to our start point in Southwell.  This walk has some minor hills and several short ascents and descents and is mainly on footpaths, farm and woodland trails and minor country roads.  Parking and start point on Westhorpe,Southwell. Bleaklow and Higher Shelf Stones

From Old Glossop(google maps link below) we'll ascend the Bleaklow plateau and make our way over to Bleaklow Head which is located on the Pennine Way,from here we'll head over our way  to Higher Shelf Stones where we'll spend a little time reflecting at the crash site of B29 OverExposed before reaching the summit. Let us take you on this great route in the heart of the fells. Following the Cumbria Way from Peter House Farm all the way to Skiddaw House via Dash Falls gives a steady height gain and a great place for a break before a steeper ascent over Sale How to meet the main path from the south to Skiddaw summit.
